The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) is a world-wide association of over 200 organisations active in the theory and practice of quality assurance in higher education. The great majority of its members are quality assurance agencies that operate in many different ways, although the Network also welcomes (as associate members) other organisations that have an interest in QA in HE.

INQAAHE offers members many services, including a Journal, a Bulletin, a Query service, a Good Practice database, and a Professional Qualification in QA. There are also Conferences and Fora at least annually.

Inaugural address of INQAAHE VII President

Dear colleagues, 

It is a great honor and pleasure for me to take on the Presidency of the International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education to represent the 280 INQAAHE members. 
Before I begin, I want to acknowledge the contribution of all the INQAAHE Past Presidents who have served with determination, commitment, and with noble spirit. Due to their tireless efforts, INQAAHE has been able to achieve the heights it is enjoying now and I am honored to have their full support and invaluable guidance to take the INQAAHE to newer heights! 
Our Board of Directors deserves special acknowledgement. It represents the very best in international quality assurance expertise – look forward to their advice and support over the term of my presidency. I am inspired by their invaluable support, as well as that of the Secretariat, and, am in a strong belief that jointly we will be able to achieve the set goals. 
To the INQAAHE honorable members, I have had the great privilege of getting to know you well and serving you over the past five years of my involvement with the INQAAHE Board. During this election period, I have had the privilege to get to know the individual needs, requests, and even complaints of our members. The commitment you have all demonstrated to our profession, stakeholders and the Network inspires me every day. I am grateful to you all for your service. It is my vision to meet, talk and initiate joint projects within our network to be able to better respond to the needs of our members. Together, we can count on mutual support in this challenging, yet rewarding mission and through our joint efforts take INQAAHE forward and upward! 
Hereby, I declare that I will act in line with the INQAAHE Constitution and the norms set in its by-laws. I will serve tirelessly to move forward the ambitious plan set in my manifesto while seeking the guidance, support and active involvement of all the INQAAHE invaluable members in the actual implementation process. 
I am humbled and at the same time grateful for your trust and support. It is my strong belief, that together, we will take the Network to the next global level of recognition as envisaged by the Founders, successive leaders and as dictated by the ever-changing demands.

INQAAHE is delighted to inform its members that will be providing funds for qualified applicants from developing countries to enroll for a Graduate Certificate in Quality Assurance at The University of Melbourne.

The Quality Assurance for Professionals Program is a one-year professionally-oriented graduate-level certificate intended to lead to internationally-trained expertise for people working in or interested in quality assurance or accreditation in higher education. Tertiary Education Commission of Mauritius (TEC) to host the INQAAHE Forum 2018

Representatives that attended INQAAHE General Assembly meeting in Natadola, Fiji, 24th May 2016, chose TEC's proposal for hosting the INQAAHE Forum 2018. Congratulations!

NCHE call for proposals

The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) is a statutory body established in terms of the Higher Education Act, 2003 (No. 26 of 2003). This Act mandates NCHE to operate at a national level and to, among others, promote the establishment of a coordinated higher education system; access for students to higher education institutions; quality assurance in higher education; and the allocation of funds to public Higher Education Institutions.

NCHE is calling for “Request for Proposal” from an individual consultant/consultancy team to develop the Tuition Fees Model based on a prescribed design. This will entail the development and maintenance of a standardised electronic database and archiving system for storage, preservation, analysis, visualisation and reporting, sharing, and publishing of Tuition Fees for the different higher education institutions.

Dear INQAAHE Family,
It has been great honor for me that the members of INQAAHE General Assembly voted me to serve the INQAAHE as elected President for a term beginning April 2015. In the first year of tenure, I have tried my best to be true to faith reposed by you in carrying forward the Agenda presented to members of INQAAHE. 
However, on account of compelling personal reasons, I decided to step down from this valuable position. Therefore I have submitted my resignation as INQAAHE President during meeting of General Assembly, which became effective after conclusion of Fiji Forum on 24th May 2016.

Funding for attending the INQAAHE Forum 2016

INQAAHE has a limited budget allocated to assist its members from least developed countries to attend INQAAHE Conferences and Forums.

QA representatives wishing to apply for financial support from INQAAHE to attend the Biennial Forum should complete the application form. Deadlines are as follows:

Call for nominations: Carlos J. Finlay UNESCO Prize for Microbiology

Funded by the Government of Cuba, the Prize aims to reward the efforts of an individual, or of an institution, non-governmental organization or other entity which, through research and development, has made an outstanding contribution to the field of microbiology (including immunology, molecular biology, genetics, etc.) and its applications.

Call for Nomination Opened for the UNESCO-Japan Prize on ESD

The UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) was established by the Executive Board at its 195th session, and officially announced at the UNESCO World Conference on ESD (10-12 November, Aichi-Nagoya, Japan). The first edition of the Prize is now launching a call for nominations.

The Prize honours outstanding efforts of individuals, institutions, organizations or other entities engaged in ESD activities. Generously funded by the Government of Japan, the Prize consists of three annual awards of USD 50,000 for each winner.

Nominations should be submitted to the Director-General of UNESCO by governments of Member States and non-governmental organizations in official partnership with UNESCO. It should focus on a specific project or programme of the nominee. Each government or non- governmental organization can make up to three nominations.

The deadline for nominations is 31 May 2015.

2015 INQAAHE BIENNIAL CONFERENCE: Call for Papers and Poster Presentations

The International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies invites proposals for papers and poster for presentation during the 2015 INQAAHE Conference:


Papers or posters may be either presentation of research or best practice experience based on a previous or newly introduced best practice or research. The best presentations should be interactive with a high level of participant engagement. Research-based presentations should include the appropriate research design and scientific methodology. Paper and poster proposals will be assessed by members of the Conference Program Committee for compliance with the criteria for acceptance.
