In early December 2024, the Board was informed of changes regarding its compositions: both its Vice President, Chan Basaruddin, and Treasurer, Anna Prades, stepped down from their respective positions. These changes leave two vacancies open at executive level.
According to Article 39 of INQAAHE Constitution, “The Board of Directors constituted under Clause 35 herein shall propose a President, Vice President and Treasurer. The proposals are to be determined by majority vote of the voting Board Members and the nominees are to be drawn from among the Directors from GGP Aligned and Full Member organisations.” In line with this provision, nominations from all eligible Board Directors were welcome for either or both positions by December 8. Following this nomination period, a list with shortlisted candidates was made available on December 9, and the voting period began until December 11.
Maryam Mustafa was elected Vice President and Leah Matthews’s candidacy for Treasurer was approved.
